Joey Unit Program

Meetings at the hall are normally Wednesdays 6-7pm. Outings may have different start and end times. Water nights start earlier. Times will be listed in the Operoo permission notes.

Parent Helpers

Our adult format is - we have one leader in training and more would be great, one additional fully qualified leader from another section of our group helping as a favour, plus all our parents helping run each 1hr night, or weekend activity.

We expect a parent from each family will stay for the hour, to reduce the load for our leaders, or whoever else is running the night.

We hope that once a term, you will organise the whole night. (Prep equipment and games in advance, and then be the lead person running the night, in conjunction with the qualified leader who is assisting). This will allow leaders to have nights off for other commitments, and reduce their tiem committment for planning. Take a look at the program below and let us know which nights you can run.

On nights where you are not the lead adult, proactively get involved and take over running games or activities whenever this is possible. That way whoever is running the whole night can be preparing the next activity.

Snacks - Bring a water bottle if you like, some nights will have snacks, others wont.

Please be on time - We endeavour to start and finish on time. Our Venturers start immediately after we finish our night.

WhatsApp - we have started a private group to gradually take over from Facebook

Uniform - Meeting nights are in uniform unless specified otherwise. (Joey shirt with badges on, Bayview scarf tightly rolled, any woggle, Bayview cap, Navy coloured shorts slacks or jeans, navy coloured socks if in shorts, dark sports hsoes or school shoes)
